The November meeting of the Corvallis Modern Quilt Guild (CMQG) was conducted at the Corvallis Museum. Our membership has grown by four new members.
Announcements
The guild’s booth at Quiltopia, which was held on November 7-8, 2025, was a successful event. Several attendees expressed interest in the CMQG. Colleen thanked and recognized the volunteers that helped make the event a positive experience.
The QuiltCon Challenge quilt top is finished and was shown to the membership prior to being quilted. Heidi Rodi, Piece and Joy Quilting in Dallas, OR, will now work to complete the task of quilting the challenge quilt top. A big thanks was expressed to Carah, who designed the quilt and organized its completion along with all the members that contributed to the piecing of the top.

Request
Pattie has been asked to conduct a presentation on the topic of modern quilts at several different guilds in the upcoming year. Pattie, along with JC, is preparing a slide show presentation of quilts. Pattie is asking the membership to share their quilts with her for this presentation. The next opportunity for pictures to be taken of quilts is at the January In-Person Sew Day. Pattie would love to snap a photograph of your beautiful quilt in January.

JC reminded members that items in the Library of Things are available for members to borrow. She has added some rulers, quilting rulers, templates, and three sets of different color cards (AGF, Kona, and Moda Bella) to the library. Members were reminded that a spreadsheet of available items in the Library of Things can be found on the guild’s website under the general resources section.
