Items should be of modern design rather than traditional. Contact Pattie if you have an item for display.

Membership: CMQG now has 53 members.

Quiltcon Quilt: The theme this year is angles. Diana created the design and divided it into 10-inch blocks (finished size). Most of the blocks have been turned in. The remaining few will be turned in soon and Diana will make the quit top. Also, members made blocks from the leftover scraps and Diana will use them in the quilt backing.

Hands-on Minigroup: The next meeting is Nov 7 at 10am, at the Keller Williams offices at 1121 NW 9thSt. There will be a limit of ten people so attendees must RSVP. To ensure the health and safety of members, all attendees must be masked and vaccinated against Covid 19.

Quilting conversations: We will postpone these until next year.

Charity Quilts: Charity quilts are given to ABC House and need to be finished by December 1. So far four of the charity quilts made from Hartman fabrics have been finished. Several more are in the process.

Needle book swap: 17 people participated.

December meeting and gift swap: The guild has a special holiday meeting every December with a gift exchange. This meeting is normally held at a restaurant, but this year will be held virtually. This year’s gift will be a pillow cover. There will be no pillow form since many of these will need to be mailed. Names will be drawn using Elfster but we will gather information about participants’ like and dislikes ourselves. Details will be on the website and in an email from Pattie D.

Presentation: Pam Raby gave a presentation on single-fold binding.

Show and Tell: Four people had show-and-tell items.
