Quilt Show Prep Panel: Getting Your Quilt Ready for Exhibit
With several quilt show opportunities ahead this year – including Quilts in the Garden, where we’ll need around 100 quilts – this is the perfect time to start thinking about preparing your work for display.
Join us for a panel discussion with CMQG members who have experience exhibiting quilts. They’ll share practical tips and lessons learned on everything from:
Hanging sleeves and labels
Preparing your quilt for display
Photographing your work
And other details that can make a big difference in presentation
We’ll also highlight our Challenge: Honoring the Woman Farmer, which will have a special featured section in one of the Quilts in the Garden locations. Challenge quilts are due at the June 11 meeting, making this program especially timely if you’re planning to participate.
If you’ve ever thought about entering a quilt – but weren’t sure where to start – this program is for you. Our panelists will help demystify the process and share approachable ways to get your quilt “show ready.”
Whether you’re contributing to the challenge, planning to hang a quilt in Quilts in the Garden, or considering exhibiting for the first time, we hope this conversation gives you both the tools and the confidence to participate.
We’d love to see a wide range of quilts represented – and that includes yours.
