Fabric Basket Class with Beth Rietveld

Beth Rietveld is known for her fabric baskets – and now she’s teaching us how to make them too!

How It Works

Step 1: Pick up supplies + learn the prep (at the meeting on May 14)

• Watch a quick demo from Beth

• Receive your materials

• Take them home and wrap your rope with fabric strips

  
  

Step 2: Prep at Home (after the May meeting)

Participants will need to:

• Cut 3/4" fabric strips

• Glue fabric strips to the rope before the class

Step 3: At Sew Day on May 24

• Arrive by 10:00 am to set up

• Instruction begins at 10:15 am

• Learn how to coil and sew your prepared rope into a finished basket

Cost

$12 per person, to cover materials. Payment will be collected when supplies are distributed at the May meeting.

What Beth will provide

• 100 feet of clothesline

• 1 glue stick

• Fabric strips from your stash (cut to 3/4" width)
